I've read some of the older threads on this subject. I want to make sure I'm purchasing the correct fan replacement.

I have a 2011 5.7L with the stock AC efan and clutch fan combo. I'm already running a 180 tstat and custom tune to adjust the fan temps.

I'd like to remove the clutch fan permanently and it looks like the best plug and play upgrade is the TYC 622320 meant for the V6.

https://www.amazon.com/TYC-622320-R...0054RMKZC/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Can I keep the fan shrouds off after doing this installation? And, did anyone ever end up making a "cap" for the threaded shaft on the water pump after the clutch fan is removed?

Thanks for any replies!!

Nate

Im curious too. Looking to to get an underdrive pulley and swap out the old fan with it. Just want to make sure I get the right efan replacement for my 14 hemi.

I ordered and installed the fan mentioned above. It works great.

Ambient temps this week in the mid 80s and coolant temps hovering between 185 and 192.

If you have a 2014, you may be able to simply remove the clutch fan and use the stock AC fan. There's another thread on the subject but I didn't research for years other than my own.

Save your money and just pull off your clutch fan and keep your electric fan on your truck. Use your tuner just like you would on the replacement fan to reset your temperatures. The other option is to PayPal me the hundred dollars that you would spend on the E-fan and I'll tell you how to keep your stock one in your truck and still make it look stock, LOL!
