You'll need to remove the clutch fan, find an electric fan that fits in your existing shroud or use an aftermarket one, wire up a thermo switch.

I would go with the flex a lite 180 or 183 setup. Also I would do this for the appearance under the hood not the “10 hp gain” I’ve ran the 183 for about 5 yrs now, sure aren’t gonna notice a bump in hp lol

so is there any performance gains from installing the efan or is it more of a cosmetic thing

I HEARD it gets off the line quicker and gets better mileage.

How many CFM? What's the difference between the 180 and 183? Think it would keep the truck cool in death valley running a 190 t-stat?

What about that guy that did a custom install with 2 16" fans and got over 4000CFM when both were maxed out?

I’m sure it has its performance gains. It’s just a small piece to the puzzle

Look up flex-a-lite an you can answer all your questions. Since it says you live in hillsbourgh an I live in Daytona I’m sure we go thru the same temps

Looked it up. ~3300CFM of airflow, but I want more.

I'm planning on building a touring, strip, and track truck. I wanna be able to race in death valley and not have my truck overheat.

Part of why I was wondering what temp thermostat you have in your SCRB, I wanted to run a ~190 degree stat in mine and have the cooling system hold it dead on regardless of the ambient heat.

You better cut off 2 drs an loose some wheel base if you want anything worth the **** then for touring an track. An still then you got a big ass full size your slinging around. Also I have had a 180 an the stock 203 thermostat. An the truck stays at that temp +10 maybe

I'm gonna look for an SCRB 05 Hemi with a blown motor and build that while keeping my daily up and going. I can't afford to run two trucks, can't risk trading this, and definitely can't work with the downtime it would take to even do something like camming it, nevermind something as ambitious as chopping up the frame and dropping a single-cab body onto it.

I'm changing my strategy. All this truck is getting is some daily driver stuff like tint, a rear drop shackle, maintenance, fixes, etc, or things that can be brought over to the future project truck, like a tuner, bed extender, tool box, etc. The project truck will get all the goodies and work, and it won't even be registered or insured until it's done. Then I'll sell the daily to recoup some cost and the proj will be complete and act as both the new daily, and the big accomplishment of pride and joy.

But we're digressing from the OP's post. So I'll save my dribble for my build thread. Lol.
