Cleaning the engine

I went through some mud not to long ago and was wondering if I disconnect the battery is it safe to spray down my engine bay to clean all the mud off of the interior?

Don't open the tipm and spray it in there. But a little water won't hurt anything. All the connectors have weather seals. Just don't focus a pressure washer on anything specific.
