Late arpil i will be making a trip from alaska to florida. I contacted greene racing in order to do a fuel millage tune for the trip, trying to get the best millage i can for the 4k miles ahead.

Has anyone ever used them for a millage tune ?
If not i will be posting what my millage is like from the tune. Currently i get around 10.5-11 MPG 90% city driving since everything is so close on post and what not. But hopefully those numbers will jump up. I will keep you guys posted as best as i can during the trip from the likes and dislikes about the tune.

I have full bolt on also using a HF 91 tune and I get low 17's hand calculated running around town and to work each day. I am also curious how a mpg tune would do and even the canned mpg tune from DS.

I'm mostly around 16.5-19.5 highway with Jay's 91 but that's with summer and winter blends hand calculated.

10.5-11 mpg seems kinda low. I do a lot of short trips, daycare is less than a 1/4 mile away and the elementery school is barely a mile, I'm getting 13.3 with a lifted truck.

I see you have a 2009, how many miles since the last plug change?

changed the plugs 5k ago when i got the truck. im talking about really short distances around post from the dining facility to the barracks and back plus the cold temps still letting the engine warm up a bit. I am working with greene racing on the tune, just sent in the first data logs for improvement so hopefully on my trip i see upwards of 20 MPG.

straight 87 for me trying to keep fuel costs down over the 5 thousand miles i will be driving.

So after the first set of data sent to jay he emailed me a revised tune with improved shifting (firmer) so far ive went from 10.5 to 15.5 Outside temp still a little cold about 28-45 F throughout the day. still running around post for my clearing and the improvements are already starting to show curious to see what i get on the highway. Also i forgot to mention i have the MDS turned off, I dont want to put any extra stress on the lifters.

What year is your truck? Are you satisfied with the way it's running now? Do you like the harder shifts?
