Hey I've being trying to do my search on some header for my 2014 2500 5.7 header but haven't found hardly anything. The exhaust shop that install my Y pipe said that he can't do it, so do anybody have any info on doing long tube?

from what I've heard, shorties are more beneficial with the 8 speed trans. easier swap on you as well

American Racing Headers and Stainless Works both have headers that will work on the 8spd.

ARH is the only company that makes longtubes for the newer 2500's. They use Green cats that shouldn't throw a code, but most guys will get a random code that pops up every 6 months or so. With custom tuning, Hemifever can disable the code so that you never get a check engine light, with or without cats.

Longtubes will always outperform shorties on these motors. The 2 fastest 8 speed trucks are both running ARH longtubes. 1 ran a 12.70 N/A and the other ran a 12.56 N/A.

I have the catted ARH long tubes on my 2015 2500 w the 6.4, purchased from Moe's. They fit very well, comes with y-pipe, and the install isn't too bad; although they don't provide much in the way of install instructions. I didn't get any codes until I installed the Magnaflow cat-back as well. Then I threw codes periodically although not recently so not sure if the computer has adapted somehow. Diablosport is still dragging their feet on the 2015 6.4 tuning so can't turn off the codes or do any custom programming. Still the truck definitely picked up a bit in the mid range and upper end. Hoping a custom Hemifever tune will eventually take full advantage of the headers.

If you leave the stock muffler & cat back the truck will sound almost no different than stock. Perhaps just a little bit more mechanical noise coming through the exhaust. With the Magnaflow 19200 kit it's much more aggressive. Although I'd like it to be a bit quieter now everyone who hears it says it sounds great.

Some pictures of the AHR 2500 headers installed on my truck. These will work on both the 6.4 and 5.7 motors apparently. Too bad they're hidden from view as they are a work of art. And cost about as much:)

Yes, that is the Magnaflow 19200 cat back kit. Not sure it made the truck much faster but looks sooo much better without the stupid resonator.

Was always curious how one of the more mellow Flowmasters would sound. They list two 18" mufflers "Specifically designed for Dodge trucks with Hemi engines", 853558, 953558 (stainless or aluminized). They also have a 22" version in the 50 series (53550, 53553) as well as the Hushpower line in a number of lengths and inlet/outlet sizes. And then there's the full cat-back kit.

You might need a tuner with a custom tune to turn off the codes. Contact Matt from moes. He has a ton of knowledge and should be able to help you.

I have sent him two pm but no answer yet.

I do have the Y pipe and a 22' or 24' Magnaflow muffler now, man those ARH header do cost some money but I will like to just up the ponies and if I don't get better mileage that's okay but for sure more hp. I think that I need to go to another exhaust shop to see if they will install some longtube.

Random question if someone might know....

Can you put a set of ARH long tube headers made for the 8 spd transmission on a 2011 1500? I assume the headers should be the same, but not sure if the piping will fit. In case you are wondering why I would do that, my buddy is getting rid of his for 8 spd and will sell them to me cheap. Thanks.:naughty:
