If your oil looks golden at 12k then your engine is ugly inside with lots of carbon deposits Sir. Schaffers is a good oil ... If I were you , I'd dump it NOW and run PYB 5W-30 FOR one thousand miles TWICE just to clean your engine , then I'd continue on running a HIGH quality synthetic oil in a 30 wt with a RP 10-48 FILTER and do another uoa at about 3k on the oil .

You'll probably cut your iron and copper in 1/2 .

Does your engine have the hemi tick ?

Excellent post sir. Short runs of pYB will definitely clean up the insides. A Few runs of 5w30.... and then you could maybe just stick with the PYB. The RP 20-820 would last you 3 oil changes EASY.

Ticked. Added moly + ZDDP lessened tick.

I am curious: What product (Moly & ZDDP) did you add to the Schaeffers?

I wish the name calling would stop.
I honestly see no need in it.

At least do it in PM or text each other!

Then run 30 wt PYB and a RP10-48 filter or the Amsoil filter for 1k twice and then install a new filter as stated above and run Redline 5W-30 oil imo ...

Good luck Sir !

Wow
Oh I'm sure he still keeps an eye on this thread. If you remember, this isn't the first time he's claimed he won't be back. I believe this is the third time. Plus, I would refer to him as that whether he were in here or not. Don't care. Its a joke. Kind of. Not really. lol

Just my opinion, .I believe you went to long with out changing your oil. As far as I know, oil mfgs in the fine print always state "always follow the mfg recommendation". In this case, Chrysler says never extend oci past 10000 miles. My thought is this is the oil mfgs out if damage occurs. It also voids FCA warranty.
At best, an oil analysis should be done at around 6 to 7 thousand miles to see what shape the oil is in. Again, just my opinion.

So now because someone is giving it back to him it's an issue? How may good contributors to this thread has that guy run off? Several.

He tried to pull this over at BITOG and got railroaded out of there quickly.
