Today I turn of my truck for about 20 minute, everything was good. I started it and it smoke white very bad from the exhaust. I freak out and wanted to film it, so I shut it down, and when I started it again 20 seconds later, every was normal, no smoke.

I know white smoke is coolant, but why does it done this only one time?

If it can help, they must replace both manifold soon.

What happen ? Does anyone here had this ?

White smoke doesn't mean coolant only, could just be water. If it was coolant, it would have smelled real sweet.

Hope it's only water in the exhaust. But that was a huge cloud of smoke. Could not see behind the truck in the right mirror at that time.

And to answer, yes the canadian warranty is the same, 5 / 60k miles ( or 100k kilometer here )

But I have the 7 - 160000 km plan. And glad I buy it , the the manifold will almost pay it and still 3.5 years of it.

Hope it is condensation in the exhaust for you. If you had a coolant leak(head casket issue) I'm sure you would see it on every start, plus I'm sure you probably already checked coolant level.

When I had my Mustang 5.0 if the conditions were right it would be like a smoke screen out of both exhaust pipes until engine got to full temp. It was fun going through the gears and watching the swirling smoke screen behind me.

Most like water in the exhaust pipes. I saw a friends Ram blow tons of white smoke... it was after parking on a hill during a heavy rain storm with the front of the truck lower than the rear. A few years later....still no issue with his truck. I'm pretty certain it was just from rainwater that ran into the exhaust, starting at the tips.

Anyway it's still on full waranty for 3 years.

But what it's weird , is that the truck was at his operating temp. I was using the truck since 5 am, and it was 3 pm with about 25 on and off cycle.

I will ask my dealer when they will change the manifolds, maybe they could see something.

Did you happen to start it and shut it off fairly quickly a time or 2 before it sat for that 20 minutes?

No normally there is at least 15 minute at off, before I start it again.

And when it does the white smoke it was off for about 20-25 minutes.
