I havnt been able to look underneath yet and shake things and what not but the truck has been making a noise almost like a metal bump kinda creaking sound.

I was in an empty lot trying to recreate it and taking turns sometimes causes it and also road bumps.

Any ideas what? And what to inspect?

I'm chasing down a similar noise I think.... it seems to be coming from the body mounts. It's gotten much more noticeable since I put my step bars on.

Struts would be a good thing to check. Mine were bad and made a lot of noise, A arms also, basically all of the front end components....I sprayed each one down with silicone spray, that seemed to work the best at weeding out what was making the noise.

What exactly does spraying the components down do to help isolate the sound?

you can spray one at a time and if the squeak continues then you spray another one until the sound goes away and then you will know what was making the noise.
