i was just looking at my bed and I see there are several factory screws, fasteners already there. Is it possible to use two of the existing fasteners to mount a rod vertically on each side and mount the net to these vertical rods? several things come to mind to hold the rod, nylon cable clamps? Just thinking out loud... Good luck.

3m tape plastic hooks. Too hook the netting in place. tighten any loose areas with zip ties. problem solved.

The above Ideas sound alot better than drilling holes in your truck. I think I would try the 3m tape or even some real strong velcro for that matter since it will be only temporary.

Ditto on what the guys say, or use a real tight bungie cord mounted in the Vertical mode, one each side, and thread your net through it. Worst case some Gypsy walks off with it!

I had a cargo net on my 2004 2dr dodge, and I was able to use those screws that were already there, think they might be for the tailight or something, I cant remember. But yeah, they'll work good! I had mine for 2 years with no problems.
