Tranny mod, Swap or Diff Swap ?

I have 9.25 front and rear Diff with 3.92 ratio.

Engine runs at 2000rpm at 60mph which is not the most fuel efficient setup.

Since I am not towing that much and when I am it is very small loads, I am thinking of changing my setup to maybe have it run at 1500rpm at 60mph (if that is even possible).

What would be the most cost effective means of getting to that?

Modifying the tranny with a chip or adding something before the Xcase.

Swapping the Tranny all together for a different setup.

Swaping the ring gears in both front and rear diff to a lower ratio maybe 3.54 or even 3.31.

Unless someone can tell me otherwise I believe the 9.25 Diff's are DANA44 axles and the 2 options above are available for this rear-end, ergo possible the front as well.

If some has alternatives I'm open to any suggestions.

My 06 runs 55/60 around 1800 rpms. Has 3.55 gears and 265/70/17s.

Not positive how they did it but isn't the 42RLE a true 4 speed and the 45RFE a 4 speed plus second prime?

Really like the Post from that mod on DT...

I think I'll start hunting down a JEEP GC TCM in surrounding Scrap Yards...

Getting it flashed might be another story, but I'll keep you updated if and when I get this done.
