Like the title says I'm going low soon. Was gonna lift it but its a 2wd and just didn't wanna do it. also the truck wouldn't fit in my garage then. Always lowered everything i owned and guess I'm gonna stick to my roots.

Anyways, I am going with the McGaughtys Deluxe 2/4.5 kit as I want zero issues with front end geometry. The only problem I think I'm going to run into is my tire size. Right now I'm rolling on stock 20" wheels with stock size tires. How much rubbing will there be with that setup or is it even possible? I don't mind hammering the fenders or trimming a few things. But the tires I have are pretty new with maybe 2k miles on them. My goal is to run 22" dub ballers with this drop.

Any insight will be helpful! Thanks guys!

With the Deluxe kit, you won't have any front geometry issues because it uses spindles only for the front drop.

Your wheels and tires won't be a problem with that drop either. I think 22's will fit with your drop no problem as long as you get the right tire size to stay close to the factory tire diameter and don't go stupid with the offset.

Here's mine with 22's, although mine is just a little bit lower than you're going.

Thats great to hear.

What offset am I looking for when going with the 22s? And possible suggested tire size?

Mine are 19mm, same as the stock 20's.

305/40/22's is the stock tire size for an SRT-10, that would be a good starting point.

I used the same kit and I have 22", no issues at all. I did have to upgrade to performance shocks to keep from bottoming out, but you probably already knew this.

Oh i knew the performance shocks were a must. Never have I lowered a truck without installing appropriate shocks. Mine are shot anyways. Truck rides like sh**.

So here is another question...what if I wanna go with 24s? I know the front will probably need some cutting in places. Very prepared to do that. But what width and offset would I be looking to fit them and possibly do a 4/7 drop?

Already ordered the 2/4.5 kit. Just gonna start there. Not going lower until I decide what I'm going to do as far as wheel size.

What year is your truck? Your profile says 2014, but this is posted in the 3rd gen section. That will determine what you will need to achieve the drop you are looking for.

Sorry guys the truck is actually a 3rd gen. My last truck was a 4th gen. Need to update my profile. Sorry about the mixup.

So I have actually decided to go with the 4/6 drop on the truck. Might as well go as low as I want right off instead of gradually doing it. The only problem with that is will the stock 275/60/20 fit with that much of a drop or am I gonna have to change the tire size? A little rubbing never hurt anyone and I'm good with a hammer. haha The tires will change soon enough just wanted to know if the stockers will work for the moment with minimal issues?

Thanks guys.
