I have an 03 2wd 1500. Im measuring from the fender well to the bottom of the rim and im getting 3.5 inches different front and back. Would a 3 in leveling kit work or will i be short 1/2 an inch? Why is it such a big difference in height factory

You have the rake in the front? A 2.5" is the biggest on "front" that you can go, you can just crank down on the torsion keys and bring it up.

Not with a 2wd, he'll need spacers.

The rake (lower in the front) is so that when you are hauling a load the rear won't sit lower than the front.

The rake is a safety design by the engineers. It keeps front bumper lower to match up with car bumpers better. It is more a safety measure for the cars.
