Dont do 1000 after... you screw it up... the least I would do is 1500 I would suggest 2000 and just work it with a wet sand. Then polish it

No I never intended to tint my headlights. Just the tails. I like the lamin-x stuff, but the extreme sun of the summer in NM worries me that it might bubble or start peeling.

I am going to get that duplicolor paint and clear coat. I already talked some of my friends into me tinting their tails for some money. I stripped and cleaned my spray gun last night. I might pick up another one from harbor freight so I have one for color and one for clear.

A friend used this on his headlights: Amazon.com: VHT Nite Shades - Black Out Taillight Spray & Clear Coat Bundle: Automotive

Looks decent but is a bit dark for my liking.

I used the VHT on my tails and it turned out great. Stock light still shines through without a problem.

After letting them dry for almost a week I decided to put one on the truck to see how it looks and this is how it came out!

Lamin-X won't peel or bubble on you. It's on there really good once it cures. I have never heard if this happening. Once it's on there I have heard it's pretty damn hard to get off. Lol

It might be cheaper/easier to buy a 2k rattle can clear
I've used spraymax and Eastwood and am really happy with both!
I just recently did a grille and projector shrouds with the Eastwood 2k
Best part is not having to clean out a paint gun!

Yeah you might be right.
I really don't want to buy 50 bucks worth of paint when I'm only going to use a little bit of it. I'll still wet sand and polish though.

Not yet! I uust bought the circuit boards up at school so I can finally get the lights working. A little background, these lights that I painted were my original factory lights. Theg got water in them and destroyed my circuit board. So I bought new ones and kept these to mess around with.

Am at school now an I am note going home anytime soon. But the next time I get home I am chabging the circuit boards, replacing the bulbs and keeping the blue reverse lights. Then I will post up how much light goes through and with both on the truck! If I had them up here I would have already done it lol
