That's what I was thinkin. Sitting in my truck in the garage, dead silence goofin off on here before I go inside to bed and the light automatically dim(drivers door open). I know the lights dim shut off after a while to save the battery, but there is a noise. Kinda like an electric buzzing..... So I move the dimmer switch to make the lights come back on.... lights dim, hear the noise.....WTF! is it suppose to make the noise?

yeah its the resistance in the wires. its normal (only if its very quiet obviously). People usually dont notice it because they dont sit in their trucks in COMPLETE silence with the lights on like that. Its very easy for just about anything to drown out that sound

Just took the tray out too so that probably made it more noticeable, not being isolated
