regarding the 180 deg Tstat;

I have seen it recently said in the 4th Gen's Forum that the Tstat was not worth the replacement because the stock tstat keeps the truck at the optimal/designed temp to burn fuel most efficiently.

However, I just went on a nice vacation towing my tow trailer (app #7,800) and the truck did just fine with it.

The temps did rise to 200deg on the really big hills where I was running 2,800rpm but dropped back down as soon as we leveled out.

It was mentioned that fuel mileage is effected. This may be true. Mine did drop this last haul but, I was hitting a lot more hills than I have ever previously hit.

3.92 to 4.10 you might as well buy a Tornado fuel saver!!!!

It'd be like going from 3.55 to 3.92 instead of 3.55 - 4.10.

So 3.92 - 4.56 will net better results.

I'm not sure wtf Chrysler was thinking with these gear ratios.
