Well, it took about two weeks but my converter showed up today. I opened it up and looked it over, looks good. Probably going to wait till spring to install it bc it is just getting too cold to be doing stuff like this outside.

My question is about the converter. In the past I have read about guys ordering converters and there being parts shipped inside of them. I can't remember what they are though. Anyway, mine came with new bolts but nothing else. Is there something else that I should be looking for?

Here are a couple pics of it:

nope thats what mine looked like. pull off that rubber cap and fill it up. 4 new bolts are to bolt it to the flywheel

Alright, just checking to make sure I got everything. Don't want to get around to install time and be missing something.

go to a warm garage and get it done :D

That was the plan then I sold the property with the garage a few weeks back. So now I can either go to the guy's shop who my dad is friends with, do it outside or wait till warm weather. If I can get time in the guys shop I will but otherwise I am going to wait.

Got the fluid ready for her. Also will have a new cooler for the trans too by the time install rolls around. Think that is everything I will need as far as parts and whatnot. In the process of getting a trans jack.

You have a lot more patience than I do, I have trouble waiting a couple days to install stuff let alone a couple months. I would go crazy.

It's not patience. It is the result of doing LT's in January last year. I learned my lesson from that experience that doing long jobs in the cold is no fun at all.

It was $495 with free shipping. Chris has a coupon code for Ram converters to upgrade to free ship.

Awesome man! So how exactly does a Trans Converter help? And how do you go about choosing a stall speed?

It will allow the engine to operate in an area where it is more into the meat of the power band and it also reduces parasitic loss that the crap stocker has, at least that is how Chris explained it to me when I started the process.

Stall speed was chosen based on my truck, how I use it and the mods I currently have as well as what I have planned.
