So I might have been being a *******, and I might have revved my truck in neutral, and coolant might have shot out of my grill...what did I break?

Well first I checked my boxers to make sure I didn't **** myself

I don't see any hoses blown, it runs fine now, the overflow tank is of course empty...I'm going to refill it once it cools down and see.

I'm about to check the oil for coolant, I hope I didn't blow a damn head gasket.

When I blew my radiator, the hole was so small you couldn't even see it. God, what a hell of a mess it made. Was climbing a bridge on the freeway. Sounds like you blew your radiator, maybe in the seal on the cap?

You probably blew your tanks on the side of your radiator. Is the radiator aluminum of brass? If it is brass it can be fixed if the tanks are brass if plastic you are going to have to replace the radiator if it is aluminum new radiator.

Your radiator is probably shot. No expert here, but doubtful it was the head gasket blowing out the radiator. Check your oil for a milky look if you want peace of mind. Had 85k miles on my 07 last year when the radiator blew. Your looking at a couple hundred bucks, but an easy DIY swap.

Mines got almost 86k miles. Oil doesn't look milk at all so that's good...my revving must have just pushed the failing radiator to it's breaking point, which was likely very soon anyway I'm guessing.

I found a replacement for $60 and hopefully can do it myself or have someone help me and toss em $40 or so to make this a $100 repair.

Not sure about 2nd gen setup, but if the cooler is attached to the radiator and those bolts and mounts are rusted out beyond replacement you will need a new power steering cooler as well.

Not necessary did you drive it anywhere after it blew your radiator? The 360 doesn't have aluminum heads like the 4.7and 5.7.I owned a 1500 that model. What people don't know is after time after heat and cooling a radiator just gives up and start leaking. The radiators on todays cars and trucks are made of aluminum and the tanks on the side are made of plastic the plastic gets weak over time and leaks .Now if the tanks and the radiator is all brass it can be solidered I would have it rod out and I would replace the cap and and thermostat. How new are the hoses? If they been on the truck for awhile with all the new pressure they will be the next to blow. This is only a suggestion to be on the safe side.
