ever think of making her lighter ? maybe loose the tail gate and do some fiber work ?

I am thinking about pulling off the tow hooks on the front and the skid plates. Don't really have use for either of those parts. Other than that, there isn't much I can pull off. I guess taking the tool box out might help too.

those things may work . you ever do a run with the tail gate off or down to see what the difference would be ?

Not yet, but I do want to see what kind of difference it would make to take the tailgate off. I took it off once when I installed the roll pan and it is pretty hefty.

The tow hooks and skid plates are definitly coming off, I never use them anyway. Guess I could sell them and put the money toward some other mods.

Remove the tailgate, spare, rear seats, front sway bar and do a run. However traction to the rear without some weight back there may hinder your times if the tires dont stick.

It is the bar type that is about two feet wide. I can get you a pic of them if you want.

See, I was dumb today bc I forgot to put it in 4wd before I launched. I always get good traction and better times with it in 4wd. So if I launch in 4wd hi after the weight reduction I think it will hook up.

just my opinion but removing that stuff is dumb bc your not gonna be on the street about to race somebody and be like hold on i have to remove these parts to get fast lol

I am pretty sure it shouldn't be a problem, I have enough straight road to do the full 1/8 in 4wd before I hit a curve.

Will do.

Back to the weight reduction talk, having a full tank of gas probably didn't help either. What does gas weigh, something like 8 pounds per gallon?

Good guess, I looked it up and it is a little over 6 pounds per gallon.
