Anyone know the color codes for the wiring of a trailer 4 or 7 pin connection. Looked all over, will resort to running into taillights if necessary

take a dmm to the harness and test. the only difference between the two is the 7 pin has a 12v+, grnd, and reverse.

Look on the cover of the the 7 pin plug, it has a diagram on there that tells the color codes.... you can also Google it, which will show you in less time then it took me to type this reply.

As stimpy433 shows above is correct. FYI, the wiring for the 7-pin and 4-pin is standard for all vehicles. I tapped mine for my bed lights.
