Alright so I finally got the spare money to start ordering some of my audio stuff. For starters since it'll be the cheapest part of the build, I went ahead and ordered the 6 speakers and should have them from Sonic Electronix by the 12th.

The build I am going with is

Pioneer AVH-P4400BH DVD receiver (to include Sirius and iPod cables) Next
Kicker KS35 Received
Kicker KS693 (all 4 doors) Received
Kicker 11IX1000.5
Kicker CVR102 x2
Fox Box 2 -10" vented box

And yes, I decided to go with 2 subs instead of one, mostly because fox box doesn't make the single passenger side without a amp rack anymore. Yes I know it's a silly reason to go with two instead of just one but oh well...2 are better than 1 right? haha. The only downfall is I lose the internal storage space and since I don't have a Ram box this means I will been looking into getting a toolbox for the bed but undecided on that as of now. It'll either be a black shallow mount or one of the one's that go behind either wheel and swing out for easy access. Although that last one would stop me from getting a tiregate I think... Oh well, thats for another thread.

There's nothing wrong with a good stereo. And if you don't really use the under seat stowage, then meh! at least it's being used for something!!

I concur as I have neither used my under seat storage nor the bins in the floor. I have the 4300 in my Subaru and am doing the OEM just for peace of mind. I'm going with an Alpine 8". Don't laugh sometimes the smaller the harder. Let us know what you think about the 4400 when you get it please.
:)
This is what is going to make the magic happen.

I do kind of use the storage bays for stuff like jumper cables and usually when I go food shopping, I usually put the driver side passenger seat up, fold the tray out and pile everything in. So going with two subs I will miss the ability to do that but that's what the other side of the cab is for, lol. Soon after I'm done hooking up the audio I will need a tool box because I like carrying jumper cables (can't tell you how many cars I've jumped) and I have planned on carrying other things like road hazard kit, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, small tool box, and who knows what other little things I'd put in it.

I hate 'em. bought once, never again. Horrible customer service and when I called to ask a question - they took my number and NEVER called back.

one change, on the subs, get two dual 2's, not two dual 4's...the class d sub portion on the IX10005 is 2 ohm, so you need two dual 2's.

Alright, scratch the help...JJ hooked me up over the phone

Oh and job is done!

Took a couple hours mostly because my buddy and I had to remove some plastic inside the front doors. The KS35's went in perfectly, the hardest part was the splicing the new wires on. If they would have made the wires for the dash speakers maybe 6" longer, the install would have been a breeze on those. The real fun was with the KS693's. Those things fit perfectly in the rear doors but we did have to drill a few new holes for the mounting screws as the hole on the speakers don't line up with the stock holes at all. The front doors however....yea. When we did a test fit, we found out we needed to add some spacers because of the brace for the window which goes right down the center of the speaker hole. So we went to home depot and bought some spacers, 1/2" and 3/4" since we weren't sure which we would need but pretty sure the 1/2" would work just fine. After putting in the speaker we did a test fit with the door panel and although I stuck with it, the 1/2" spacer is actually a little too much. The tweeters sit against the grille and made putting the door panel back on a little difficult. I'm thinking here very soon, I will get a set of 1/3" spacers and see of those fit better without the tweeters being smacked against the grille otherwise one possible option I though of going with is cutting a piece of the grille in the center around the tweeters which would expose the tweeters. It'd look interesting but I dunno. I'm going to work the spacer route before anything else.

Overall opinion of the KS35's and KS693's is, I love them! The sound quality is so much better and the bass is extremely nice. I'm really looking forward to getting a head unit though as I believe it will make those speakers sound way better then the crappy stock one. Oh and now some pictures of the speakers themselves.

Here are the kickers sitting next to the oem speakers, as you can see, the stocks are crappy.

And in this one, I ripped of that fabric cover thing to take a look at the cone itself, yea...

Just be prepared for same removal of plastic. Those 6x9's are about 1/3" to 1/2" too deep for the front doors. So I recommend having spacers of both size's and to try out the 1/3" ones first.
