USB port not working

I have a 2015 crew cab without a jump seat and the charge only USB port on the passenger side. It will work very intermittently at best. Anyone else have this issue? I can't narrow down the fuse that is connected. Any help would be excellent.

Behind the USB interface is a 3" molded in pigtail with the step down module from 12Vdc to 5 Vdc. Behind that module is a simple two wire power/ground connector. If you got good 12Vdc and ground, then that molded in pigtail/USB assembly is bad.

at first i thought it was by design to preserve the battery but it already kills the power after however long it's set on the radio anyway. it usually seems to work if the truck is just off for 10-15 min but longer then that you have to unplug it and plug it back in before it'll let any power through

Mine just started to do this! I plug my phone into the charger and it will say its charging but then it randomly stops charging and then starts charging again. It does this pattern non stop. This is new and super annoying!

Sorry to hear about this! If you aren't already we would recommend using a certified charging cord for your brand of phone, the cord that came with your phone usually works best.
