Brightest bulb that isnt HID?

So im bored of the stock headlights. I tried HIDs and they didnt work and i have no idea how to make them work so if you know how let me know on a 2006 dodge ram 2500. But other than that, what is the brightest bulb i can get? Let me know!

Why didnt the HID's work for you? which brand did you go with?

I think the problem may be that the bulbs sold on the web as HID's are not. HID's are a special bulb that sometimes comes with a different reflector unit (head light assembly) and requires ballasts/igniter unit for each bulb

IMO the crap flogged on the net are just a zenon bulb at best

Most HIDs are HIDS, they have a seperate ballast the changes the voltage and current to the bulb
Most run them in factory housings but the proper way to do it is in a projector

Xenons usually use a hotter temp bulb or a filter on the glass to give the appearance of a white(er) light
