new amp question

alright I have two Rockford 10" p2 subs and they are 4ohm and they are bridged together. The shiitty amp I have now cuts out and over heats. I want to buy a new one. I want something that will be good and supply good power. Now I dont know much about audio so that why im here looking for suggestions. Thanks

The P2s - are they DVC or SVC? What is the specs on 'em? RMS numbers?

well......that bites.

They are DVC 4 ohm subs. Which means when they are hooked up together they will produce either a 1ohm load or a 4 ohm load. Not the typical 2ohm that you would normally see.

well i was thinking of getting some new type r's but idk what I want to look for so put me good setup with a new amp and type r's 10" what ever is good

to get the most out of the setup and this is what i've seen Joe recommend many times - a 1000 watt amp.

Now that is what he says to really get that setup to pound. You could get away with a smaller amp and probably still be happy.
