Old link is dead. I figure this is the same issue. I ran my vin about two weeks ago with the Dodge recall site, and my truck is included. Figured i had some time since i have 2 years and 60k on the truck without problems.

Well i was wrong. The truck started to make a little whine about 2 days ago. Tonight coming home from a family dinner it got a whole bunch louder with deceleration and much more coarse. I'm headed to the dealership in the AM, but not sure how much damage is there or what to expect. I've been off work for 21 days on vacation and need to get back into working. I can't afford to be without my truck. I really hope they give me a loaner.

Also I'm the second owner so i don't know if the original warranty covers me. I do have an extended warranty from the dealership that sold me the truck used, but I'd rather have dodge do the work instead of a Toyota dealership.

They called me today, said it tore up a whole bunch of stuff. He also confirmed all the damage was due to the recall. The nut came loose and it all got messed up. Theyll be replacing the gears, bearings, spindal and i dont even remember what else.

They also said they're not responsible for the rental (no loaners), but that my extended warranty will cover 3 days. And the parts won't all be here until Tuesday. Sucks. Going to be 3 days or so out of my pocket.

That's ****** up man, sorry you have to deal with that. I think if you have downtime due to a recall they should provide a rental due to THEIR screw up.

I have 58,000 on my clock and I've had no problems so far, but I hope I can get up there in time to get it taken care of.

So they found a loaner for me after 1 week of driving and racking up an enterprise car/bill. Parts came in today. I hope they get it done soon.
