I bought an 04 Ram QC SLT in 09/10? w/45k and now has 95k.
At roughly 75k I started to get a clunk in the front end over bumps. I'm in Northern MN so potholes are the norm and you can expect premature wear on suspension components. I replaced the front shocks at roughly 80k with no luck. I didn't drive it very often for awhile and what driving I've done has been 80% hwy so I haven't cared much. I replaced tires 4 years ago and I'm due for new tires so I put in new axles, front hub assemblies upper control arms which include Ball joints (one was for sure bad), lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends.
I didn't do inner tie rod ends because they seemed fine.
None of this stopped the clunk.
It's been above freezing for a few days and it seems worse so all I can think is lower control arm bushings or the torsion springs???
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also, if anyone knows if Dodge offers compensation for repeat customers who's bed rusts out at 60k that would be appreciated. (Didn't buy an 87 Toyota)
