i go to a trans shop to have them install the updated solenoid/gov kit on the trans, They called me saying there was all sorts of metal **** in the pan that something broke. Said it may be a band most likely in the 2nd gear or reverse that im gonna need a rebuild for 1500+ Idk if he's bull****ting me because it had the symptoms of the gove/soleniod. Late shifting, OD doesnt engage unless in neutral then back in drive no slams no slips no noises from trans. Not to sure if i wanna drop the money in her i invested close to 3 gran in 2 most on it already. repair after repair this by far tops it. What do u guys think? (97 dodge ram 2500 5.9 gas 4x4) I know getting a used one probably isnt the brightest idea that a rebuild is probably best, Very sad here i like her a lot but not sure if i wanna keep going broke on her. 2014-12-23%2019.24.49_zpsiqrumvp8.jpg

Honestly, since yours is only slightly worse then mine, yeah, it needs a rebuild.

What you could do is install the gov yourself and see how it runs. It's really easy to do and If it makes it nice and driveable for awhile it could buy you time to save for a rebuild. That's what I personally would do but I'm also kind of cheap lol

I bought it so when they replace the sensors to add the RP in. but since they dropped the pan we lost 4 qts plus it was all messed up from metal. So they had to use my oil. Should had them install the sensors anway they was charging me 150 for the job and ended up paying 100 anyway and for bad news, wasted fluid and a gasket
