Having some shifting issues, a bit of jumping around but no slipping.

Options:

1. I see that they sell a solenoid kit, does not include Torque Converter Solenoid
2. New Valve Body, seems to come complete
3. Order individual solenoids/sensors

What have you guys done? What is the best option for a repair?

It seems like the job is easier with the vale body removed but figured I'd check with you fine folks before I make a decision.

Any advice appreciated.

Simple fluid change and shift solenoid should fix that bud.

Fluid and filter change as well as band adjustment would probably do a lot for ya. For peace of mind you do the upgraded governor solenoid, pretty easy with the valvebody in the transmission. Tq converter clutch/ overdrive solenoid can be changed with the valvebody in as well but i would at least unbolt it and let it hang by the detent arm while doing it to make it easier.

I think good fluid and filter change with the proper band adjustments would probably do it but going back in there if it doesn't is a real pain in the ass so I'd be tempted to put those new parts in whole I'm there myself
