A few questions. Does anyone have a pic of their 2nd gen with a 2" BL? I would like to see what kind of gap to expect between the body and chassis. Did you have any issues installing the lift? Linkage length, wiring harness length, things like that. Pretty much just want to know what expect if i decide to do this.

I've never found a 2" body lift. All I could seem to find is a 3". Have you found one?

No i see after mor searching i only see a 3" also. Could always throw it on the band saw and cut it down if i wanted to. Biggest concern is the issues associated with a body lift and what to expect. I also HATE the gap between the body and frame. I do have fender liners from and back but not sure they will hide it.

^Agreed. Frame mounts and crap are all the same between the half tons and heavy trucks.

Rough Country even sells that same PA lift on their website and it is listed under Ram 1500.

My issue is the ass end is lower than the front, 191k miles and 18 years will do that. My goal was possibly the Skyjacker R222 add-a-leaf to level it and then a 2" shackle in the back and 2" spacer up front to lift it. I thought about adding a body lift along with that for more lift but im undecided.

I thought about messing around with the rear shackle mounts also. Since they are upside down from the factory, i thought about removing them, flipping them over so the shackles face down, and see what i can do from there. Seems that would offer lift with out doing anything else.

shackle flips are popular on chevrolets. you have to knock the rivets out of the frame and bolt the bracket on upside down on the opposite side with grade 8 hardware.

Shackle flips are popular on all leaf sprung off roaders. I've heard that if you do hauling that the load capacity is greatly reduced though.

I'd just do an AAL, personally. Granted, I'd be utilizing the stock block.

you could always do lift blocks in the rear only

The factory used a block already. Stacking a block on top of their block is a VERY bad idea. I hate blocks period and wish i could get rid of it but that doesn't seem to be an option.

To get rid of the rear blocks you can use a rear shackle flip kit, DOR, BDS or Fabtech make them. Or you can get new rear lift spring packs I use the Skyjacker DR56S, there are other makers out there, a good spring shop can re-arc your's and add a leaf or two.

There is this place as well for spring packs.

Those springs are only 2" lift springs though. Adding them and removing the blocks would sit at stock height or lower. I would rather go with a 5" leaf, remove the blocks, and get 2.5" or so of lift. So many options lol
