what kind of prices are you guys paying for this?
has the exhaust market jumped to over double prices in 10 years or am I just delusional? I was sure it was $150-200 for this 10 years ago.

and thats for a flowcraper muffler

They are still pretty cheap IMO , When I had a gasser I ran magnaflow never paid over 100 bucks for a muffler .

$350 for a few welds and a couple feet of tubing is ridiculous...
I was quoted $200 for a local shop to bend/weld me up a complete header back exhaust if I brought everything but the tubing

I'm waiting for the shop I have used before to open. they are closed today.
I'm just looking for some sound. I may get a parts store cheapy turbo (or glasspack) and get it welded in.

flowmaster is overpriced anyways.

right on.
I had an old beater z71 some1 gave me and I rebuilt the motor... I cut out the rotten tailpipes and tips and put a cherry bomb and turn down on it. it actually quieted down.

It is tempting, but I didn't like the highway drone. I'd prefer something out the back. maybe even shiny if it doesn't required me "dropping my pants".

$350 is a little stupid spendy. Maybe if it was all mandrel bent stainless steel and included the muffler. But even then it would be too high.

A summit chambered muffler is the same as a flowmaster in sound if you want that sound but half the pice.

Wow that's crazy. I think i paid around 150 or so when I had the same thing done on each of my rams. Both ran knockoff flowmasters and magnaflow tips. I just told them I wanted something that sounded like a flowmaster. It was a Flo-Pro muffler on my 05 and on my 08, a Goerlich muffler.
