ok i know this was a stupid part on me but i ran out of money and needed my truck ok i completely rebuilt the engine all new gaskets including the plenum gasket the only thing i did not do was ring because i had great compression so i didnt bother with them and my rod bearings and mains were perfect condition i did new timing chain and all new gaskets and seal every single one of them from oil pan to head gaskets and plenum,now it runs great oh and i did all this 2 months ago now it started to smoke when first started up after sitting all night when i gave it more gas more smoke came out the pipe also if u really get on it meaning floor it white smoke comes out, i took out the plugs to have a look, all look dry except number 1 it had very very little almost none what appears to be a little oil on it i mean not hardly any just enough where it looks a little wet i even did valve steam seals too so ruled that out i cant figure out whats up so i thought maybe pcv valve so i changed it out with a BWD brand well that sucked because when u start it all u hear is it rattle so i put the stock one back in no sound ok now this morning after i cleaned and cheacked all plugs oh and the number 1 the tip gap was almot touching the tip of the plug weird idk why but i gapped it anyway thinking it was a pistom problem started it up and took it out again to check all is fine hummm dont know why it was anyways can any one or has anyone ever had this problem before oh and i hope im in the right place im new here and i love my truck its all orginal and i have every piece of paper work on it 2001 dodge ram sport single cab 2wd 1500 5.9L magnum thank u all i forgot to mention im loosing about a quart if not two every 50 miles maybe less but it dont smoke when driving normal its really weird to me never have i seen anything like it oh and no oils leaks at all
