Rear door vent?

There is a vent on the bottom of the rear door. Is it needed? I just put new speakers in the doors and would like to seal all of the holes and remove anything unnecessary that will rattle when the bass hits

im not sure EXACTLY what they are for. but there is probably a reason, so id leave em. i try not to mess with things unless there is a very good reason
