My wife surprised me today and bought me a porter cable polisher. Having a hard time deciding on pads cause there's just so many to choose from. Looking to do some paint correction and polishing. Anyone have any good recommendations?

Definitely go with foam pads. I've used microfibre with my Porter Cable and was really unimpressed... I find that the foam pads work much better with it. I have a number of Lake Country pads from Autogeek and then an array of 4" pads from Adam's. Both worth great. I'd suggest getting quite a few in each size (orange/yellow for cutting, white/pink for polishing, and grey/red for finish polish and wax). That way you'll be set to tackle anything that comes your way.

Hex Logic are good pads and you'll be happy with them if they're the pads you selected.... but I find myself confused, while visiting the CG website to place an order for some Stripper Air Freshener I noted the Logic pads on sale and just happened to take the time to read the the Hex Logic product description. I've been using Buff and Shine pads for years now and IME have found no significant difference in performance between the two pads, cosmetic only in the appearance of the hex laser grooving versus the plain flat B&S pads. I actually prefer the flat Buff and Shine pad myself, plus at $5.95 a pad, it's hard to beat

Buff and Shine makes the Hex Logic pad exclusively for Chemical Guys, just as LC also makes pads for CG. I find Chemical Guys description misleading, leaving a consumer with the perception that they make the Hex Logic pads themselves. Unless CG is developing pads these days, which I seriously doubt

I 2nd those Lake Country pads. I use the 4" ones, and they are just great. Larger pads are tough to get in those smaller areas, I would rather use one pad for the whole thing vs. larger pads for the big areas, then have to swap out for a smaller one to do the nooks and crannies...
