So just got my grille insert put on and everything...figured I'd post some pics for people to see more about it.
I'll start with the review...first off, great company to deal with. the product itself and mounting hardware are solid and look great. I love the new look.
so first you have to remove the grille assembly.
then pop the plastic welds and get the honeycomb out of there. you can pop the welds with a flathead or a pair of pliers. You'll be surprised how easy they pop off.
then it's time to cut your crosshairs. as the instructions say, mark a inch inward.
I used a dremmel with a cutting wheel. Then test fit the grille and if you can see the ends of the grille just sand em down with a sanding wheel till you can't. then once you have the grille matched up, mark the holes where the grille will mount.
I made pilot holes. then you use a 3/8ths bit to drill the whole for the bolts.
then mount with supplied hardware.
you'll need a 3/16 Allen and a 3/8th socket for the backside.
then there are loops on the inside to insert more bolts but I didn't feel like drilling more 3/8th holes so I just used self tapping screws with the wide heads. I'll get pics and post later.
final product.
the directions are easy to follow, just thought id post this to help people make decisions. def any average joe can do it.
I don't claim responsibility for any screw ups...
