I am a budget. I am thinking the Zone 3.5" will serve me well for a few years. I did a forum search. Nothing came up. Can someone offer me their opinion on this set up. I am assuming I will have to buy Bils? I dunno.

On their website, they state they get a 2" level with UCA and then a 1.5 body lift. I am assuming I need Bils 5100s. Not sure. Sent zone an email asking.

Any one have an opinion on this setup?

New shocks are nice but you do not need them with this kit. It looks like it comes with spacers that go on top of the front struts for the level. If you got the adjustable bilsteins, you would not need the whole kit. Just the 1.5" level to get the same height.

^ makes sense. Thanks you very much. Overall, would you consider this setup or are you not very impressed with it.

I have the bilistiens up front set at 2.1" instead of the leveling spacer just for a better ride. but I do have the zone UCA's (which don't provide any lift) and the zone 1.5" body lift. im very happy with it. gives an aggressive look for a few hundred bucks. but I can tell you my truck is not eve close to as big as that one in the picture there lol

Why not just do Bils and then decide what, if any body lift you want to get higher. With Bils at conservative 2.1" you can run 35s.

Oh you can see a big difference just by the pic, that baby is what my bils level wants to be when they grow up.

That's a good kit, zone makes a great product. Some food for thought - install cost is the same with a 1.5" or 3" body lift. Why not go 3" and have a 5" total lift?

It's a good point you bring up. My only thing with a body lift is I don't like seeing a huge amount of the frame. I can live with 1.5. But 3" might bug me.

you can't use those spacers with the 5100s up front

I just got an email back from Zone Off-road. The kit uses the factory shocks. Thanks for also confirming because I was a bit confused earlier.

The question is can you use 5100's with the body lift. if so, I would dump the spacers, they bind up your front end. I actually would like the answer to that as well, I'm wondering about axle shaft angles and lengths and other issues we might have with drive shaft or control arms. I would love to raise my bils level to that height. It looks great!

My understanding is you get a 2" level from an upper control kit. Not a spacer. You can see the new uppers in the photo I posted. Then, the kit uses spacers to achieve an overall 1.5" body lift.

Perhaps the 5100s are not compatible with the new uppers? I dunno.

So in most basic terms, what improvements would be needed to run 5100's with the body lift. The entire reason I am thinking about this is because of how killer that looks just going up 2 more inches.

If you are asking about just adding a body lift to the 5100's then that's easy, if you are asking about adding 5100's to the kit the op posted then using the 5100's to add more lift your asking for trouble.

the zone upper control arms provide no lift. they are just a stronger solution to the rams that had the ball joint issue. I saw now lift from mine. you can add the zone 1.5" body lift with the bilsitein 5100 front leveling struts but you can not add the strut spacer on top. sounds like what would work best for you is the 5100's up front and the zone 1.5" body lift. add the UCA's if you think your truck might have ball joint issues. I got mine just to be safe.
