I need a dash mat!

Nothing came up on a search here which surprised me. Because I have to park with my truck and dash facing the sun, I would like to find a good cover/mat. Tried one from Amazon and tho it looked like a fit, with the holes where they should be, it buckled a little in the middle - just a smidge too wide for my analness. Suggestions?

I know this wasn't what you requested but, this is the type of solution I've used for decades.

The sun in my area isn't as hot as your hood but without some sort of windshield shade, the cab will be a smokin' hot sauna after parking in the sun.

This or something similar helps to significantly control the temperature rise within the cab and protects the dash.

And if it costs $32.99 Canuck $, you can likely get it for half that money.

Good solution. Even better if you park with the back window facing the sun and put the protector in the back window space. Heavier tint on sides and rear glass helps cut down UV heat build up.

About ten years ago when I was RV'ing and wintering in the Southwest I bought a couple of dash covers from a small operation in or very near Yuma AZ. They had a VERY nice product and the fit was perfect.I cannot remember who it was and have not had much luck locating them. There is a person on the forum that seems to mention being in the Yuma area frequently as he is apparently an escort driver. Interstate Route 8 is a major East/ West route through there. I did put a query out to him in regards to the place but did not get a reply. If you can find the place let me know. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I actually bought my dash cover from the Dodge dealership back in 2009, for my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500.

More recently, i went to that same dealership & they gave me the name of the company that they used in 2009, & said that they stopped carrying anything that was not in the Mopar or Magneti Marelli parts catalogs

I do not recall the dash cover brand name

The cover that i had bought, had a flap to cover the upper glove compartment, that did not have a door.
I just quickly cut off the flap, because my truck had both doors

Thanks, That does not sound familiar but I will check it out. The address is in an area that I am quite familiar with and I don't think it is where I purchased mine. I did a bunch of business almost right next door with the off road buggy shop for a Baja conversion I used as a toad and off road vehicle at the time. However, the dash cover place could very well have moved to that location. The cover you show in post # 10 looks very much like the material and the stitching style for assembly to the one I had in the MH I owned at the time. I would have purchased it around 2010.

I do believe that they only made dash covers. I would bet that the one that the Dodge dealer sold you back in 2009 came from the same place that I bought mine.

EDIT: I think the business was called "Dash Guard". Googling leads me to believe that they are no longer in operation. Too bad if so as their product was decent. I remember that it was a small shop with hundreds of patterns for all years and makes of vehicles. You could actually try one on your dash to check fit. I had to wait a week or so because all work ws done right there in a small shop made to order.

I bought a four- year old Chevy with blue interior and a fitted dash cover. Truck was 27 years old when I got rid of it because of rust. Cover was original and faded but dash never cracked. Truck spent it entire life outside. Get a good one and they will work and last
