That 14" WILL get louder as it gets broken in. At least, mine did. Love it. So glad I didn't go with the 18.

Does only having the one exhaust pipe like on my outdoorsman make a big sound difference
mine is 3" from the y back for sure i havent checked by the cats yet. would the 14" magnaflow with no resonator and a bigger tip still give me a good deep tone. this weekend i took the muffler off and put a piece of pipe in its place still have the resonator and it has a decent sound will the setup i listed above be a lot better? thanks for the helpYes, it'll be a little more tame. Best bet for a single exhaust is 3" all the way back from the cats. My old truck was 3" with a 5" tip dumped over the axle and it sounded pretty good, but it was fairly quit until I got long tubes.

what is the part # of magnaflow 14" and 18" you folks are using? When I go to magnaflow website and search by vehicle(2014 RAM 1500 sport), it only displays 18" and 22" models.
also, what do you lose as you go smaller on muffler? I think the stock is 22".
thanks in advance.

That's the mufflex which comes to fit exactly where your stock one is. Or you can buy the muffler itself (what I did) and have a muffler shop weld it in for probably 60 to 80 bucks. Atleast that's what my quotes were, labor and pipe.
Moes sells the mufflex. It's an exact replacement. Meaning no fabrication work will need to be done. It's plug and play. Verses if you buy the muffler by unselfish a muffler shop will have to bend, cut and weld pipes to make the muffler fit your truck.
