That 14" WILL get louder as it gets broken in. At least, mine did. Love it. So glad I didn't go with the 18.

Im loving my recently installed 14", about 150 miles on it now. I think it has toned down just a touch but it's probably all in my head. Its pretty loud upon start up and under load, very very quiet while cruising.

Does only having the one exhaust pipe like on my outdoorsman make a big sound difference

Yes, it'll be a little more tame. Best bet for a single exhaust is 3" all the way back from the cats. My old truck was 3" with a 5" tip dumped over the axle and it sounded pretty good, but it was fairly quit until I got long tubes.

Ordered mine from Moe`s and it`s on its way to me now. Can`t wait to get this in and see if it`s as good as most say it is.

what is the part # of magnaflow 14" and 18" you folks are using? When I go to magnaflow website and search by vehicle(2014 RAM 1500 sport), it only displays 18" and 22" models.

also, what do you lose as you go smaller on muffler? I think the stock is 22".

thanks in advance.

Mufflex 14" Magnaflow Dual Exhaust 09-Up Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi

That's the mufflex which comes to fit exactly where your stock one is. Or you can buy the muffler itself (what I did) and have a muffler shop weld it in for probably 60 to 80 bucks. Atleast that's what my quotes were, labor and pipe.

looks like it is basically magnaflow #12198 while 18" is #12288. just wondering why Mo has this listed almost $300. #12198 is $88 at Amazon.

Moes sells the mufflex. It's an exact replacement. Meaning no fabrication work will need to be done. It's plug and play. Verses if you buy the muffler by unselfish a muffler shop will have to bend, cut and weld pipes to make the muffler fit your truck.

My bad. I read your first response too fast. I will do just like you did to make it less expensive. Get it online and have muffler shop weld it. Thanks everyone.
