Small update on Radio Pn's thanks to Atom with his 2016 Factory Ra2 ...

Previous experience is that all the 2013-2016 RAM RA2 radios should be interchangeable.

Per the RA2 Radio upgrade over at OemAutoPartsco website (NavRepair)...

Managed to hopple into the pickup with the wiring harness and new rearview mirror. Pulled down the headliner, side panel off. Man I sure love plug and play and now I have bt microphone for phone. Yay.

Update on wjbigrob 's radio situation .... for those just tunning in this is what's happened .

☆☆☆wjbigrob, please correct me if I'm wrong sir !!☆☆☆



1) upgraded from RA1 TO RA2

2) Did not have rear speakers working " no fade" option in the RA2 .

3) updated software - no fix

4) went to dealer / dealer said it should be asking for pin aka anti-theft code ( I've had two that did not )

5) dealer flashed in XAC code per the OP request because he plans on the Backup cam install soon - the screen does not turn blue in reverse .


I just sold the OP an RA2 5.0" radio I ran as I upgraded to the RA2 from the RA1 as well . My RA2 Worked perfectly in my truck from day one , it did not ask ME for an anti-theft code , I had rear speakers operating , hade balance /Fade operating, blutooth & text and a backup cam ..... I have high hopes this radio will plug n play just fine !

Pretty much nailed it. Only clarification would be that I went to update software and it was already up to date but I re-installed the software update anyway. I upgraded rear-view mirror to oem microphone ran wires plug and play to side passenger kick panel and bt works great. I will definitely keep you posted and will provide the pn to this thread when I swap it out with the new one.

Great ! Here's the Radio I'm sending you Sir .
I purchased it from an awesome and knowledgeable member here , in August 2015 , I'm not positive if it's a 14 or 15 radio , I'd need to check mpg's post on that .

Sad day for me ... I did like that radio , I never intended on selling it . I was gonna keep it for a backup !
Now that I have the RA4 8.4NA , I just can't see going back the RA4 ROCKS !

I will always remember where I got it from!!!!!!! If the day ever comes that I upgrade past the 2 I may just have to sell it back to you!!!!!! That way you can have you backup back.

LOL ! I do appreciate it , I have an RA4 8.4NA 2014 as my sole backup now ! I just don't see me going back to the RA2 ... I did love that set up though ! Who knows , maybe you'll purchase my 14 RA4 8.4NA

Sweet. Just plugged in New radio. Everything works great!!!!!!! Thank you RLK. Now time for the rear camera install after the ankle is better. I wonder what the deal was with the other one.
