So I received my 2016 about 2 months ago and within the last month I noticed a clunk resonating from the floorboard and through the steering column. What really made me notice this was driving on a gravel/rutted road. Looking at the intermediate steering shaft while jiggling the steering wheel around exhibits the same noise I am hearing and feeling while driving.
My 2014 that I had had a similar issue where they replaced the intermediate steering shaft. Any one else have this issue on similar driving conditions (gravel/rutted road)? If so I don't see why this is still an issue with Ram, you would think they would have corrected it.
******UPDATE******
Truck went back in to the dealer today. Got the call this afternoon that both the steering rack and intermediate steering shaft are going to be replaced. Unfortunately, both parts are on back order. Now I know back orders can happen for several reasons but as with my 2014 it seems this may be a more prevalent issue.
