2017 6.4 4x4. 105 K miles.
Been using PUP,0w40, at first, changed to RL 0w40 at 40K. RP filters, and Bio Lubegaurd.
I have done 18 oil changes, last at 104K.
Blackstone reports, were always great, last one was at 85K.
Now out of warranty,at 90K.
CEL came on, not flashing, running a little rough at idle, some solid ticking on the left bank. pulled code, P301 misfire.
It was running fine until yesterday. Had to pass a couple of semi trucks, at higher RPMS, went to the store, in the parking lot, heard the ticking. CEL on. Drove 20 miles back to the shop I use, taking it easy.
Best hope, at the mechanics that I use, might be lifters, maybe cam, depending on how much metal contamination, otherwise looking at a re-manufactured long block. or rebuild. Total bummer.
The truck was flawless to this point, no warning signs.
