sell your truck and buy your self a SY or a TY
you will get every thing you want speed with boost and a body kit
you wont be able to beat a srt on a long straight stretch but zipping down a busy highway or down a twisty back road you will be uncatchable

be patient Kimosabi.....all good things come with time. My first vehicle was a 2000 2wd Jeep GC with the 4.0l. I wanted an SRT8 but couldnt afford it, and attempted to build a clone...lol. Even stroked the 4.0l to a 4.6l, before blowing the tranny running a mid 15 sec 1/4 mile. I was so mad and frustrated because all the years building it, and all the money spent, I could have bought a damn SRT8 GC, but I was too inpatient. ThenI got hit by a snow plow sitting at a stop light in 2008, and it totaled me out, and I bought what I have now. Be patient

First things first. I need a new job.

Then modding the truck will continue, but yesterday I debadged my truck. Pretty happy with that.

But a job will help me out with the more expensive items. Like a paint job.

Nothing went through. Everyone bailed. The guy wanted a trade and $1200. So I told him good luck, I'm out.

Truckless...
I agree with mostly everyone. Spend as little as possible on this current truck, but still do those small things that you like that will make it stand out and make it yours. At the same time, (once you find your new job), save your money and you will be AMAZED what kind of cash you will have once you are out of school. You will be able to get just about anything you want.

This was how I bought my first Ram. I had a Saturn SL1 POS and hated it, but I knew what I wanted and saved up until I was able to put down a large sum and get her. Then when it was totaled, I used my insurance money to buy my dream truck, which I now use as my DD. If you have your dream truck now, go for it, spend some money on her, but even if you have a small dream of something more, save for it and it will be yours.

These days, you can get a fairly low miles 2003-2005 Hemi for between $10,000 and $15,000 depending on the options

Good luck!

My 1st truck was a 97 f150 dad gave me. Ac compressor went out and we didn't want to by another one, then buy me a college vehicle. So they sold that and got my current truck.

Right now. I'm just gonna do some cosmetic stuff. Nothing too big, but what's that bottom lip on the bumper called?

From what i understand he is more of a cruiser and only looking for to make it "look" like an srt-10. Adding SRT-10 Badges is another thing though.

Just keep doing what you are doing and if in time you move up to another 3G weather a 4.7/5.7/8.3 then you can interchange your parts if needed.

No badges. That's false hope for everyone looking at it

5.9 Cummins
I know exactly how you feel man. Before I even started drivers Ed. I would spend hours on the computer looking at CTD vids, pics, and some for sale in the area. When it was time to get a vehicle I got a 07 4.7 1500 for graduation from my parents, which I was genuinely happy with. Because I was so obsessed with the 2500 look, I threw on cab lights, tow mirrors, a level, 35's, BW flares, and a brush guard....spent too much money on it. With the finished product, I was really happy with it at first, but after a while it wore off. I wasn't completely happy with it because it wasn't what a wanted it to be...I wanted 8 lugs, 2500 tow hooks, and most importantly the sound of that Cummins.

So before I started on the performance mods, I thought long and hard (shut up) coming to the realization I should just save my money for a real Cummins one day. About half a year later, found my dream truck (2007 5.9 4x4 inferno red QCSB with low miles), saved up a good sum of money, and picked it up. When You think so much and work so hard for something...things happen lol. I've got to say, it was one of the greatest days in my life.

Just wait it out buddy, you'll find yours.
