I just got my 2014 Ram and was very disappointed to discover my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) is not fully compatible with with uconnect.

It connected just fine and worked great for a couple days and then quit. It would connect but it wouldn't stay connected.

So I called Chrysler Canada and the lady I talked to told me it is a common problem, my phone is not fully compatible. She also said that they had no info at all yet on the 2014's so she couldn't really help me at all...not for a lack of trying though. She was great to talk to and did her best to try and help me.

That was not acceptable to me so I went on a hunt, spent hours searching Google for a solution. It only made sense to me that if it worked once it should work again....why would it stop? I don't know.

I found a solution. There is a free app in the Google Play store called Bluetooth Auto Connect. I installed it on my phone and it works perfectly now, better than it did to begin with. I called Chrysler Canada back this morning and shared it with them, so now they have a fix on record.

That's great. Glad you found a fix. A couple of questions about your phone. Is your phone all stock or have you rooted it/hacked it. I am asking because I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II. And I'm wondering if I should go ahead and download this app just to make sure I'm good.

My phone is all stock, I have not modified it in any way. From the reviews I read that app works well with a lot of different devices. Hope it works for yours too.

Do you guys use the NFC tags at all with your devices. i have an s3 and put one of the tectiles in my truck. when I bump the phone it automatically kicks the wifi off and BT on. this way i pushes the BT to search when in the truck and dont drain battery running wifi. I have a tag at home and on my desk at the office that does the opposite.

FYI, im an android guru.

I don't use the tags. I have the galaxy Note 2 (rooted and running liquid) . So I always keep mine setup so I turn on or off BT, wifi or anything else.

IM rooted too running a custom ROM. The tags are pretty nice and while I thought they were wonky at first, I use them alot now.

nowthat we have successfully hijacked this thread, I am running Intergalactic. It is a Touchwiz base 4.1.2. The dev on it is pretty good with his kernels and just optimizing the ROM. it is super stable and has all the goodies.

i used to be a Flash junkie till I got on this guys work.

Wait.. he just released a 4.3 work. Gotta go flash it.

I'm going to give this a try. I have installed the latest Uconnect update for my 2013 8.4A system. I've registered my system online (moparownerconnect) and created a profile. I've linked my Slacker, Pandora, etc. accounts online. I've downloaded the Uconnect Access app onto my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S4). But, when I try to play Slacker or Pandora through the Via Mobile button on my smartphone, I get a message saying I need to set up a profile on moparownerconnect. I was on the phone with Uconnect customer support for a couple of hours just last week, before they came back and said there was nothing they could do because my phone is not listed as compatible with the Uconnect system. Nevermind the fact that I can receive and send texts, port over my contacts (phone book), and do all the other bluetooth functions. Nevermind the fact that there are others who have the same exact phone and are having no issues playing music through the Via Mobile button on their phones. :wtf:

The Uconnect app is garbage. This is why we are using the app listed above. It hasn't worked for months. And no, molar could care less. I can link my phone via Bluetooth to my radio. And I only have 5" radio. It's the one just below yours. I have played Pandora and other Internet radio apps thru it via Bluetooth. Even got the audio off a movie I had downloaded.

That's a great idea. I'm on a 4.4 (CM11) base with my Note II right now and use quick profiles, but the tectiles would make it almost brainless in the event I forget to change profiles when getting to work or leaving the office. :)
