couple of appearance things...

Put on my decorative license plate (nice thing about missouri, 2500's can be licensed for 18000lbs so we only have 1 plate in the FRONT)

Yesterday I did my first oil change on the truck. 0w20 Pennzoil Platinum, and Mopar oil filter. I was quite surprised by how much smoother the truck felt with the switch from factory oil to a synthetic. ECO mode is much more active than before, and the transition from MDS on to off is almost not noticeable whereas you could feel it disengage before.

In case anyone else searches and doesn't find their answer:

MO-899 does in fact fit as a replacement filter (although it is a larger diameter) for the 5.7L with 8SPD trans. I had seen numerous threads around the web that people were worried about it not being the correct type. The seal area is the same diameter and the thread pitch/pattern is also the same. Larger filter area just means more filter media to clean the oil from contaminants. ;) It is a bit more difficult to get up to the housing, so I find it better to go up and behind the subframe area to get it installed, vs. trying to fit it up directly from the bottom.

Installed my Weston tailgate ladder...painted it with black "truck bed" coating so that it looks better and does not stick out (silver) in a black bed of a black truck lolImageUploadedByTapatalk1389558792.728919.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1389558805.876804.jpg

where did you get the factory flares from if I may ask?

i order them from my dealer at cost. they owed me a favor lol

after i ordered them i did find some on ebay but they where not the right color which doesn't really matter as i had to get the factory ones painted also.

Emptied my catch can and replaced the air filter today. Next on the list is to replace all 16 spark plugs. I'm not looking forward to that.

Debadged doors and modified an iphone holder to mount on top of the head unit with one of the torx screws.

Spray painted the tailpipe black.
Hated the silver color on a black truck, stood out like a sore thumb.

Much better now.

Where did you get that mount?

Went to work then gave it a bath.

It originally had a suction cup. Took that part off, drilled out the cylinder/body to accomodate the torx screw then replaced the torx with a phillips head and tightened it down, attached top half of mount and tightened it down. Easy peasy

What did it cost for the tint? Did you do it yourself?

Oh no, tinting is one of those things I'd rather pay someone who knows what they're doing. I think my total was like $85..right around there

Love those stripes. Was thinking of going with black on mine but being I'm lifting it now, don't think it will look as good.
