I have a 2013 with 3.21 gears and a 5.7, I pull a 4200 lbs truck with a trailer weighing 2600 lbs, with weight distribution hitches and electric trailer brakes. I have pulled it from Michigan to North Carolina with no issues.
Anyone running the 87 octane tune on the Diablo I2 on their rams? I have an 2013 Ram with the A8 trans and drive it daily. I always run 87 in it except when towing. Just looking for a little more power and maybe some better gas mileage.
ok have the factory setup, I used the lock on the cap and took it for a drive, around sharp corners or a good series of bumps it disconnects then reconnects itself. I am going to check for loose grounds and wires.
when I hook up my trailer, my trailer connector is not making a tight connection and sometimes when I pull the trailer the connector will move and loose contact. is there any good way to tighten up the connection points, I tried a very small screw driver.
thank you
Rob
I have seen 22 miles to the gallon before. that was driving from buffalo to detroit.
Normally highway I see about 19 miles driving.. Depending on how much my foot is in it I see about 500+ miles to a tank. 32 gallon tank, 3.21 gears 8 speed 4 x 4 quad cab.
User,
what I posted is designed to go into your 2" receiver hitch, its not the hitch itself but a bar that goes into it and allows for you to adjust for a bad load set up. You still need the receiver tube. I have a factory one on my ram and it works nice. I hear they are not that expensive...
user, My set up is a 18 ft jb enterprise trailer, that I have a box mounted on the tongue. the trailer has about a 4 ft beaver tail. Its the same setup as rob rohe uses on his ram except he does not have a trailer box mounted yet. Rohe has a regular cab and loads his so that the back tires...
user I just towed mine to the RT Nats, I have the rear sway bar on my ram, but what really helped me was my weight distribution hitch. I have a cc and a 18 ft flat bed trailer, with the last 4 ft beaver tailed.
last weekend towed a 4200 lbs Dakota RT on the trailer. Trailer weighs about 2200 lbs from Detroit to Mooresville NC. Got 14 miles to the gallon round trip. Thats with the 3.21 gears going up and down some 5% grade hills. Handled it no problems.
no pictures but i have a 18 ft full floor car hauler that is about 2500 lbs and then tow either my dart which is about 3200 lbs or my dakota which is about 4200-4300 lbs. No problems ever when towing
