Through out bearing bad
i have a 18 g56 manual 2500. dealer took trans in and out ( long story ) they damaged the clutch saftey switch. it stopped working 500 miles from home. i bought a new switch at store, and spliced the wires together.... bypassed the switch. if you do this, your truck can start in gear so be...- nukegm

Heads up on diesel oil supply
rotella t6 has been near impossible to find for over a year in colorado. try any auto parts store, home d, or wal mart...also, DEF at places like home cheapo is getting low. i have a friend who owns several shops, and he is finding it very difficult to find synthetic oil too. not liking the high...- nukegm

comrades - my 2018 2500 cummins. just got oil analysis back. fuel dilution in oil. 63,000 miles. 4000 since oil change. just drove from colorado to florida. and back. got stuck in ice storms in tx last month. idled for 5 hrs. thoughts? thanks for your opinions in advance. posted on TDR but...- nukegm

Just picked up a new Ram 2020 2500 Diesel! (Yes, of course its 4x4!)
congrats on the new ride. i second the genos garage suggestion above. most diesel oil, esp t6 is impossible to find here in colorado. ive looked at multiple wal marts, auto parts stores, home d, etc. even amazon is out. i use amsoil oil filters or fleetguard stratapore. the mopar oil filter is...- nukegm

CP3 injection pump failure

2117 diesel 2500 clutch
comrade - i just put in a south bend clutch ( single disc ) in my 2018 2500. the dealer had the truck apart at 6000 miles, again 2x after that. now im at 56k and the clutch began to slip going 35mph. i got ****** and just bought all new including the hydros. getting rid of the junk dual mass...- nukegm

service exhaust system dealer message
comrades - 2018 2500 6.7 56,000 miles. shop queen. the message appeared for about 2 seconds " service exhaust system... " then went away. no check engine light. should i ignore this? have driven for 2 days after message and nothing else re appeared. naturally, i just spent 2800 on a south bend...- nukegm

2020 HD 6.4 8 speed possible torque converter issue?
chuckster - i had a 16 6.4 2500. went through 3 clutch fans in 28,000 miles. they are junk. everywhere i went the truck sounded like a giant vacum cleaner. 2 under warranty, then i bought a tool to change it out myself because i hate going to boulder ram. good luck. i hear the 8 speed is real...- nukegm

4WD Shift in Process
2018 ram 2500 g56. i get the shift in progress a lot. sometimes 100s of times a day ( every couple seconds sometimes ) took to dealer 2x. they say nothing is wrong, of course. maybe ill pick up a TCPS and see if it goes away... cheers!- nukegm

AVS bug deflector
on my 3rd windshield on my 18 2500 at 51,000. have same " deflector " i used it to cover up some chips from all the sand colorado uses to ruin everyones glass and paint jobs here. cheers!- nukegm

All-Terrain tire life on HD trucks
i live at 9600 feet in colorado. my 2018 2500 might on a good day get 20k on all terrain tires. i have run goodyear durtracs and toyos. the softer goodyears wore quicker. excellent in the snow and ice. the toyos not so much. i rotated regularly. stock sized tires. cummins eats the rears. my next...- nukegm

6.7 Cummins ticking noise?
i have 2018 g56 6.7 2500. it has a tick but not loud like that one in the video. mine seems to quiet down when i do an oil change. i suspect valve lash on mine. 50k miles on it. cheers! OP - any updates?- nukegm

when should i trade it?
its very close to being paid for. that is the only reason im hesitant and asking the trade question... as for other brands, chevy is the only one i would consider. i had powerjoke in the 90s and it was beyond awful. in colorado, in a 100 mile search radius, there are only 4 chevrolets with an 8...- nukegm
