Hey guys,
So I got my Ram ('19 Tradesman RCSB Hemi) back in January. So far the only modifications I've done are a Flowmaster FlowFX muffler and rear 2" lowering springs. I'm looking to do some more performance mods down the road, and I wanted to see what folks here have had good luck with.
My...
I have the FlowFX muffler on my truck and I couldn't be happier. The FlowFX has a real deep, throaty sound. As far as volume level - If the stock exhaust is a 1/5 the FlowFX is a solid 3.5/5. It doesn't idle very loudly. When you step on it though, you DEFINITELY know it's there. That being...
So after tons of research and advice from others, I ended up going with the Flowmaster FlowFX muffler and kept the stock tailpipes. It's not quite as loud as I expected - maybe one step up from a Magnaflow street series, but It grew on me pretty quickly. It's real deep and get's throaty as you...
So I've been doing some research on Magnaflow - it seems that they don't make a cat-back system that "fits" the single cab?? Anybody know if it's just a matter of cutting some pipe or what the deal is? Let me know!
What's your take on removing the resonators? Most catback systems seem to remove them. Do you think there's any significant increase in flow to be had by removing them? I understand resonators are more or less "straight through" but I believe they do change the way the exhaust pulses travel as...
I'm in the south, so I'm not SO worried about it rusting out as there's no salt or snow here in the winter. Still, it's interesting to me that so many of you see them rust out so quickly.
@ShortRAM Sweet! I work at an off-road shop and it just so happens a Ram came in today with that same Cherry Bomb "muffler" and I thought it was a 10 series at first. I checked it out of course for a reference and it's WAY too loud! I'm sure it drove you nuts.
Glad you like your 50 series. That...
Hey guys
Bought a 5.7 RCSB Ram 1500 recently. Looking to upgrade my exhaust. What I WANT is something with a nice old-school muscle sound that has a good roar when you step on it (some hp gain is nice too). What I DON'T want is a loud-all-the-time exhaust that's going to drive me nuts with...
Hey y'all
New user here - first post. A few weeks ago I bought my first truck, a '19 1500 Classic RCSB 5.7 2WD. I come from the muscle/pony car world, and plan to use this thing essentially like a muscle car with a bed for hauling my crap around lol. In other words, I may or may not eventually...
