Dreaded Rust...
Had a 3rd Gen Cummins with the famous rear fender well rust and now it appears my 4th Gen 1500 has developed a spot on the driver side fender at the apex of the fender well. Anyone else have this issue? -

Used truck mileage
I got 119k on my 1500 and knock on wood, no major issues to date. But have been toying with getting something with lower mileage.- W_Lyles

My man! Thank you for chiming in as well as the other guys. This is essentially the information I was hoping to capture. I have the 8spd with I'm assuming 3.21's. I see you got some rubbing on the bottom of the wheel liner there but what about at lockout to the right, any rubbing on steering... -

Nice truck! Thanks for the input. I will have a shop do the install and I will keep an eye out on the Fox rear shocks and the rebound. Maybe a stupid question but would running a 35" + tire require putting in different gears? I don't want to run my truck ragged haha. -

That is a VERY well done setup, nice work and good intel! I will start by asking, I had the 5100's installed in the front with the OEM coils in 2015. Would you say it would be smart to go to the 6112's for the front if pulling the trigger on the BDS 6"? I do plan on keeping the 17x8.5's... -

Current setup is bils @ 2.5 and SD Springs TTC-1223V's / 17x8.5 Method NV's / 305/70 Open Country AT 2's. I have landed on BDS and as explained to me, it would be wise to go with the 6" vs 4" because it comes with a more "complete set" and you can adjust it down to 4" if you choose. If money... -

My thought is that I didn't have enough power to push the speaker when cold since I just replaced the speakers and everything else is stock. But I really don't want to go back to a paper speaker so I guess I'll continue to live with flat sound for the first 10 min or so till the cab warms up haha.- W_Lyles

Thanks @TomT. I figured that it had to be something with the speaker but I'm not savvy enough to figure that out on my own haha. I am assuming that polypropylene woofers are superior to paper, but do you know if there are any high quality paper cones on the market?- W_Lyles

Yeah I try not to have the volume up loud right off the bat when its cold but to have zero bass until the cab is warm has me wondering. Im with you though, I think it's something going on with the mechanical aspect of the speaker.- W_Lyles

Hola friends, Couple years ago I installed (4) 6x9 Blaupunkt QL690s in the doors and (2) Infinity REF-3002cfx 3-1/2 in the dash. It seems the past few winters or anytime its 40 or below the speakers sound flat with no bass. It's not until the internal temp of the truck gets warm that they start...- W_Lyles
