Install 2018 UConnect 8.4 into a 2017

Anyone know if this would be possible? Are the pinouts the same?

The reason would be to get the newer capabilities of Android Auto.

Yes, it’s possible through this company. It should be released in the coming weeks, from what I’m being told by them.

Not sure how theyre gonna pull it off, 2018 trucks switched from a square media hub to a elongated one like found in the charger/challengers. Dimensionally besides cutting there is no way to make the media hub fit in the center console.

Could move the circuit board further down the line and extend the USB, if it doesn't fit in the console.

I’m looking into it. Haven’t got a price from them yet, but their other upgrade kits retail around $1000 on their site, but they do offer buybacks for your previous system to help offset the cost
