Lots of threads and info on Parnhard for the lowered setups. Curious, is there any value in an aftermakret adjustable panhard bar for us who have lifted rigs?

Very nice video I found. Same concepts apply for a lifted truck as would a lowered truck. Mine kicks to the left over abrupt bumps.

You may want to look into a Carli panhard bar drop bracket too. Cheaper than a new bar

I've got one, not adjustable though. I have never not had it, so I cant comment on improved stability from first hand experience. I can say, when I look at everything back there and I imagine it not being there, it would look less stable.

Just thinking about taking a tight turn, I can definitely see how it would prevent that frame from swinging and without it I could see how the frame could swing.

Makes sense to me that it is probably a good idea to have it. Hey, at least it's a fairly inexpensive mod and probably not that difficult to install!

I have the Hellwig anti-sway for roll. That's why I was wondering if aftermarket Pan was even needed. It is, but not primarily for roll, but for axis alignment and that video did a good job of explaining why even with a lift, an adjustable might prove useful. I only have a 3" lift in the rear, but it is still not stock height, hence the inquiry. The rear upper and lower control arms are next on my research bucket.

Your raised axle bracket from the lift takes care of the GEO from lifting

The lowered guys use the adjustable bar because when lowered it kicks the axle to the driver left side, the adjustable bar allows them to pull it inward and center it. If lifted it will push to the passenger right side. The lift kit gives you a bracket so it raises that mount up and corrects that angle from the video. If you look at mine it also has a hole below my bar, that is for the 3” coil lift, mine is 5” coils so it takes the upper mtg hole. Some lifts lower the bar at the frame, some raise it at the axle like mine but they both accomplish the same thing.

Spot on. Mine is the Zone 3" coil and I use the lower hole. I guess that hole could be the upper hole depending on how she is....oh, nevermind.

Lol... you can buy an adjustable bar to dial it in, won’t hurt anything

I had a 2011 Ram Silver RCSB Express that I lowered and fought all the geometric problems, I ended up putting back to stock and traded it in on a challenger, said never again to being lowered with coils PITB

The problem with an adjustable one is it still only fixes the problem at the one in particular spot within the suspension travel range.

By moving the mounts up or down , and getting the pan hard bar as flat as possible, it makes it just like stock again.

If any of you ever played with bump steer on a steer axle you know what I'm saying. That's why cross over steering was and is a popular fix for lifted trucks.

If it is anything like a Jeep TJ suspension which it looks just like it only larger its better to raise the axle bracket than dropping it from the frame end . It may look like it is doing the same but it has an effect on handling .

This is why I opted for the carli panhard bar drop bracket over getting an adjustable bar. Helped a lot in keeping the rear in check.

I would give Zone Offroad a call and order panhard bracket from JB1's picture. You never said what lift you have currently. You could even order there 13" sway bar end links.

I have a BDS 4" lift kit and ordered the Zone 15" sway bar end links and they're identical to the BDS kit.

Actually I was just curious overall. But I have the Zone 4/3 with rear coils.

I've already done the leg work on this as well. In the lowering section the guys complain about the Spohn arms because they have to frequently adjust them. The only other ones that I've come acrossed are from Dodge Off road. There is one other brand but they're part of a kit for jumping sand dunes. I'll look up the brand if you'd like. I also talked to an off road shop(Extreme Articulation) for custom arms but they wanted just as much as Dodge Off Road.

Found the link. I remember the guy posting here on the forums.

Sorry Socal, I gave some bad info in my last post. I'll make a new one just in case you have read that one already.

Dodge Off road said that they would only sell them in a complete set. You cannot buy just uppers or lowers.

Extreme Articulation told me that they would make me custom uppers and lowers but I would have to know the lengths. That's hard since I would need a set of adjustable arms first to make sure that my pinion angels are correct before ordering.

I also called Illicit Customs that make the brackets for the lowered guys here on the forums. They said they would be more then happy to make me some control arm brackets but they need my truck in the shop. I then googled them and they're 22hrs from me so that's not going to happen any time soon.

Core 4x4 is about to release one. I exchanged some email with Spence over there. They are releasing the Panhard soon, and will bundle it with their beefy rear upper/lower control arms and endlinks for $799 in a variety of colors.

I found a good review of Spohn v. Core rear control arms here. These things are no joke.
