    Finally getting my truck painted (a horror story)

    I have the same problem happening with my 03 right now. Seems like it just popped up overnight. I've always kept a good coat of wax on the truck, too. I just can't bring myself to spend 2k+ on a new paint job. Post up some after pics when you get it back!

    Flares

    My OxGord flares just showed up today. For the price I can't complain too much; as someone else said - they're just 4 pieces of molded plastic. I'm not sold on flares but for the price I figured I wouldn't be out much if I didn't like the look once I put them on.

    HELP, LAMP OUT warning driving me nuts.

    I had this problem and it was the tail light board. I had to solder a few wires on my tail light wiring and replace the board that all the lights plug into, and it fixed everything. Apparently it's a common issue on these trucks.

    Just because it should be the way it's done doesn't mean it is. Like it was said above, there's a good chance a ground wire wasn't tightened all the way, or a new connector wasn't used, etc. Unless you physically do the work yourself, NEVER assume something was done.

    If you're going to motor swap it later then I wouldn't sink a ton of money into a supercharger set up for your current motor. Throw a shot of nitrous on it and call it a day until your new motor is ready to drop in. S/C the new motor and have a completely different animal.

    Awesome, thanks for that info. I've read of people changing to the newer 06+ valve covers and changing out the plug/wire situation. Is that something you've done as well, or did you just throw the Taylor shorties on and call it a day? Also, did you get the 8mm or 10mm ones?
